The National Theatre of Greece invites children this year to enjoy the play “Semolinius” by Alexandros Adamopoulos, directed by Lydia Koniordou. The performances will last from September 22, 2015 to April 24, 2016. A princess decides to make herself a husband who will do whatever she wants, and with almonds, sugar and semolina she creates Semolinius. But their marriage makes another princess jealous, and she sends soldiers to abduct him. The first princess looks for him everywhere with the help of the sun, the moon and the stars. In her wanderings, she realises the value and the power of true love. But will she ever manage to find her beloved Semolinius? “Semolinius” ‘carries away’ the audience to a unique place full of multicoloured images and sounds coming from the Greek folklore tradition.
