DescriptionSpend a day in the countryside exploring the National Park of Mount Parnitha. After pick-up from your hotel, head out to the National Park to start this 6km hiking trip with a total elevation of 100m. It is an easy route, making it ideal for families. The hike begins from Bafi Refuge and most of it, is in the dense fir forest and will take around three hours total. You will pass by the springs of Koromilia and Mesiano Nero until you reach the plateau of Mola. There you have the chance to rest for a bit and maybe encounter some red deer passing by. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a Mediteranean meal in the forest. Then your guide will take you back to Bafi Refuge, through the same path but with a different view point. Mount Parnitha is the closest mountain to Athens, and the only National Park in Europe so close to a capital (40km). Explore the National Park and enjoy time out surrounded by the beauty of nature.
