Begin your adventure with a scenic drive along the Athens Riviera, passing through seaside neighborhoods and modern architecture. Stop at Glyfada Marina, one of Attica’s oldest marinas, and take in the views of the yacht-filled harbor and promenade. Continue to Lake Vouliagmeni, a natural thermal spa lake surrounded by cliffs. Take a short break for photos while learning about its unique thermal waters. Next, head to Cape Sounion Beach, where you can swim or relax at the protected pebble bay beneath Cape Sounion. Enjoy the clear waters with the athenian breeze. Finally, visit the ancient Temple of Poseidon, perched on the cliff’s edge. Explore the 2,500-year-old Doric temple and learn how this “Golden Age of Pericles” monument was dedicated to Poseidon, god of the sea. Enjoy panoramic Aegean views and, if timing allows, a stunning sunset.
