Description

We will meet at the main exit of the Acropolis metro station to begin this fascinating guided visit. We will climb up the south side of the hill, avoiding the crowds and enjoying spectacular views of Athens. Along the way, we will discover the ancient Theater of Dionysus, where the works of the great tragic poets of antiquity were first performed. Through the majestic Propylaea, we will enter the heart of the Acropolis, where we will learn about the history of the Temple of Athena Nike and admire the main monuments of the complex: the Parthenon, a symbol of architectural perfection; the Erechtheion, with its famous Caryatids; and other sacred places where myth and reality intertwine. During the two-hour tour, we will hear fascinating legends from Greek mythology, learn about the historical context of each monument, and enjoy one of the most spectacular views in all of Athens.
