Indulge in a refined Armenian brandy tasting that celebrates depth, warmth, and detailed craftsmanship. Begin with an elegant 5-year-old brandy paired with a honey-based canapé, followed by a 7-year-old brandy with an apricot-based one. Move to older expressions of 10 and 15 years, matched with dark chocolate and dried fruits that amplify the notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak. Rooted in Yerevan since 1887 and inspired by the sacred Mount Ararat, these brandies achieved international recognition in 1900 when they won the Grand Prix in Paris, allowing them—uniquely for a time—to be sold as “Cognac” outside France. Its prestige grew further during the 20th century, famously becoming Winston Churchill’s daily choice after Stalin introduced him to the legendary ARARAT Dvin. The tasting lasts around 50 minutes and is the only one of its kind in Greece. Each individual brandy is paired with three different matches that contain dairy, nuts, and chocolates, among others.
