Instead of waiting for the 3 PM check-in to open while carrying suitcases around the city, you can relax, sit back and start your first day of sightseeing, all while beating jet lag. After an airport welcome from your private driver, you will head towards a local bakery and enjoy Greek delicacies and coffee. Next stop: The Temple of Poseidon, where ancient history meets jaw-dropping views from Cape Sounion. Arriving at this spot early, has the added advantage of avoiding the crowds, and offers a completely different experience than most usually have. We will spend approximately an hour soaking in the history and sights, giving you plenty of time to take pictures or stroll around the archaeological site. Our next stop at Faskomilia Hill, offers a relaxing spot to recharge, with panoramic views of Lake Vouliagmeni and the Saronic Gulf. While only brief, it helps put into perspective the terrain and landscape that surrounds this area of Athens. We will follow that with a leisurely 90-minute stop at Vouliagmeni Lake, giving you the opportunity to soak in the mineral-rich waters – the ultimate jet lag cure. Thought to have been created more than 2000 years ago, Lake Vouliagmeni is a natural oasis, with part saltwater and part spring water, renowned for its therapeutic properties and luxurious amenities. Before returning, we’ll make a quick stop at the Lemos Peninsula to admire the dramatic landscape, adding a final touch to our day of exploration and relaxation. Finally, your friendly driver will drop you back at your accommodation, refreshed and ready to start your Athens trip with a newfound energy.
