Description

You'll begin with a traditional Koulouri, the favorite Greek energy snack, you'll continue with a traditional coffee in a 'kafeneio' and a beautiful view of the Acropolis as you learn interesting facts about the coffee culture in Greece. You will sample a traditional Greek bougatsa (where a pie is made of leaf, usually filled with cream or cheese, although it is also found in other flavors). Explore the Central food market (closed on Sundays) where local sellers offer the best Greek ingredients and Athenians do their daily shopping. At the end of the tour you will enjoy a dessert with historic references going back to ancient Greece, the famous Loukoumades!
