You will then sample a traditional Greek pie with crispy filo pastry while exploring the Central food market area (closed on weekdays/Saturdays at evening hours and Sundays) where local sellers offer the best Greek ingredients and Athenians do their daily shopping. You will also savor Souvlaki or Gyros in pita bread, the quintessential Greek street food and you will find out what the famous Peinirli looks and tastes like. A delicious, fluffy Greek style pizza boat with a special cheese mix and crispy dough! Got a sweet tooth? Time to treat yourself to some Greek dessert! Try loukoumades—Greece’s answer to donuts—crispy and golden on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. All in all, you will experience the best and most well-known street food of Athens while exploring some of the city's most vivid and artistic neighborhoods.
