Description

Walk. Think. Discover Eudaimonia – just like Aristotle’s students did. Designed for curious adult and teen travelers, this workshop starts in the peaceful surroundings of Rizari Park, just steps away from central Athens. Under the shade of the trees, your expert facilitator will guide you through a short and engaging timeline of ancient Greek philosophy, connecting the dots from Socrates to Plato to Aristotle. From there, you’ll walk together to the nearby Archaeological Site of Lyceum (entry ticket not included), where Aristotle founded his famous school of philosophy. Just like the ancient students, you’ll philosophize while walking, discussing how we can apply Aristotle’s moral theory in real life to achieve Eudaimonia – a life well-lived. Along the way, you’ll participate in a fun and thought-provoking virtue-choice game, where you’ll explore ethical dilemmas and discover Aristotle’s concept of virtue. To wrap up the experience, you’ll gather at a small open-air amphitheater overlooking the excavated ruins. There, you’ll read selected quotes from Aristotle (yes, even in Ancient Greek!) and reflect on how his timeless wisdom still speaks to us today – whether you’re a teen, parent, educator, or simply a curious traveler. Option to enhance your learning with an extra hour dedicated to Plato’s Philosophy, including an interactive debate on an ethical dilemma. You may select this option at Checkout.
