Description

Nafplio Town holds great history as it is the first capital of Greece since the victory of Greeks against ottoman empire at the revolution of 1921. Pick up will take place from your hotel / apartment or from any place you point to us within the city of Athens First stop is the great Corinth Canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. You can take pictures from the bridge that connects Peloponnesus with the rest of the country. The next stop is the Ancient Epidaurus theater. The theater is dedicated to the ancient Greek God of medicine Asclepious and it was constructed in late 4th century B.C Then we visit one of the most prestigious olive oil domains where you learn about Greek olive oil history and production. the family who runs the unit offers olive oil testing, brunch and plenty of unique products for purchasing. Then we visit the Fortress of Palamidi which was built from venetians in 1687 over the city.From up there you can see the great city of Nafplion. and walk within the fort. Plenty of things to do in the city of Nafplio You can take a boat ride to bourgi Castle, which is build on a small island. Visit the local museums and learn about the history of the town. You can ride the hop on hop of bus or the small train which takes you a nice ride around the Town. Walk in the old town, and have lunch in one of the traditional taverns. On our way back you can buy wine , honey and fresh herbs from the local farmers of the area which they have their benches on the side of the country roads.
