Day 1: Catch the bus to Kalambaka from Athens Larissa railway station in the morning and enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the Greek countryside. Upon your arrival in Kalambaka in the afternoon, a VIP minibus will pick you up from your hotel to join the Meteora Sunset Tour to admire breathtaking views of Meteora and discover the hidden gems of this place. Day 2: Choose your activity: A 'Half-Day Morning Tour' of Meteora to see the main attractions, the monasteries of Meteora with a VIP minibus, or choose to take part in the 'Hiking Tour of Meteora' to walk among the rock giants. Visit 2 monasteries of Meteora, the secluded hermit caves of Badovas, and enjoy the best panoramic viewpoints of the 6 monasteries. After this morning's tour, the bus will drop you back to your hotel. The evening is free for you to explore the area on your own. Day 3: The morning is at your disposal for exploration at your own pace. Return to Athens by bus in the evening. Please note that your transfer from Athens is temporarily done by an airconditioned bus departing from the Athens Train station, instead of a train. The reason is that trains have stopped operations due to a devastating flood. You will still enjoy the experience in the most stress-free manner possible. Not only is the bus ride to Kalabaka efficient and a bit faster, but it also allows you to soak up the enchanting countryside of Greece. Awe at the gorgeous landscapes that unfold before your eyes and prepare yourself for the wonders of Meteora to come.
