Description
As your cruise ship docks, our friendly team will meet you right in front of the ship. From there, you’ll board a modern, air-conditioned minibus, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey. We’ll start with a scenic drive through Piraeus, passing charming harbors lined with yachts and sailing boats, offering a glimpse into the region’s maritime culture. If traffic allows, we’ll stop briefly for photos to capture the picturesque views. Next, we’ll drive past notable landmarks, including the Temple of Olympian Zeus, with its towering Corinthian columns, and the Arch of Hadrian, a monumental gateway honoring Emperor Hadrian. We’ll also stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, a historic site of the Panathenaic Games and a testament to ancient Greek athleticism. In Athens, you’ll have the option to visit the iconic Acropolis. Your guide will escort you to the entrance, where you can explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site independently. Marvel at the Parthenon, an architectural masterpiece and enduring symbol of democracy. Please note that visiting the Acropolis requires significant walking, including uneven paths and steep steps, which can be challenging in the summer. Alternatively, visitors with limited mobility can follow the guide to Areopagus Hill, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Acropolis and the city while learning about its rich history. Nearby, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a magnificent stone theater, offers another highlight of ancient Athens. After regrouping, one of the tour’s highlights is our visit to Syntagma Square, where you’ll have the chance to see the renowned changing of the guard ceremony in front of the Hellenic Parliament—an enduring symbol of Greek heritage. As we explore, you’ll see neoclassical landmarks like the University of Athens, the National Library, and the Academy of Athens, featuring statues of renowned philosophers. Photo stops may be made, traffic permitting. Finally, we'll get to Monastiraki, a beautiful square known for its bustling markets, traditional shops, and vibrant atmosphere, offering endless opportunities to explore and enjoy. Wander through its lively streets, where you’ll find everything from handmade crafts to unique souvenirs. Indulge in authentic Greek cuisine at charming local restaurants or grab a coffee at one of the inviting cafés. Our last stop before returning to port is Plaka, often called the 'Old City.' It offers a unique glimpse into Athens' rich past and culture. Located at the base of the Acropolis, this historic neighborhood is known for its charming alleys, traditional architecture, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet stroll or discovering hidden gems, Plaka provides a relaxed and memorable way to experience the essence of Athens. After a memorable day, we’ll return you to your cruise ship with unforgettable memories of Athens’ history, culture, and charm. Let us make your visit truly special!Includes

- We will send you final instructions for joining our tour a few days prior. Please make sure to check your inbox prior to your tour. The tours are specifically designed for your cruise ship, its docking times, and its passengers. If your ship is delayed, the starting time will be postponed. Please note that Acropolis visit is optional. The entry ticket is not included in the tour price and costs 30€ per person. Visiting the Acropolis requires extensive walking, including climbing 75 steps at the entrance and navigating uneven, slippery marble paths. This can be physically demanding, especially during the summer when crowds are large and temperatures can be high. For those with limited mobility, we recommend following the guide and exploring Areopagus and Herodion instead.
