Follow your expert guide to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held. Continue past the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, Athens Academy, the university, the National Library and Constitution Square. At the Acropolis, visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens such as the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion and the Parthenon. Continue and visit the New Acropolis Museum before enjoying lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, drive along the coastal road past the beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza to the southernmost point of Attica, Cape Sounion, to see the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon.
