Top Rated - Accommodation in Athens

These accommodations earn their spots not from flashy ads, but from real travellers posting honest, consistently strong reviews. You’ll find places that locals and visitors keep coming back to, whether it’s a cosy boutique hotel in Plaka or a modern spot near Monastiraki.

Reviews reflect genuine stays, so the high scores come from many travellers, not just a few rave comments. That usually means the staff, location, cleanliness, and value actually meet expectations. If you’re visiting in spring or autumn when Athens is at its best, booking one of these top-rated places can help you avoid last-minute stress. Remember, places close to major transport hubs like Syntagma or close to a metro stop make exploring the city way easier.

Local tip for booking

If you want a smoother stay in Athens, consider booking a place near a metro station. The metro links the airport, central Athens, and Piraeus port, saving you time and hassle. For instance, staying around the Syngrou-Fix or Akropoli stations makes it easy to reach the Acropolis, the coast, and areas like Gazi without depending on taxis. Also, early spring or late autumn tend to be the most comfortable seasons for walking around, so grab your accommodation early as the best spots fill up fast.
