Starting at the Temple of Poseidon, this tour provides a unique opportunity to explore the heritage of ancient Greece, all while witnessing the sun setting over the Aegean. The tour starts from the pickup point and an experienced guide will be waiting for you. We will cross the Athenian Riviera, areas such as Alimos, Glyfada and Vouliagmeni. We will end up in Sounio, in the Temple of Poseidon. The Temple of Poseidon is a stunning archaeological masterpiece in Sounion. Built in the 5th century BC, it is an ancient Greek religious temple dedicated to the god of the sea, Poseidon. The temple majestically stands atop a cliff, offering a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea. The white marble shines under the intense sun, creating a mesmerizing image. The location of the temple is an ideal spot to enjoy the sunset, with the Cycladic sky painted in shades of orange and pink. The azure waters of the Aegean Sea create a dramatic backdrop for the temple, and the view from the highest point of the cliff provides an unrestricted look at the endless blue of the Aegean. On the way back, we could make a stop at the Vouliagmeni lake during the summer months for a swim or to eat at a seaside restaurant. Relax on the drive back to Athens.
